Summary Shiv Sena has organized a protest against the participation of Pakistan players in the upcoming IHL.

A right-wing party on Sunday organized a protest against the participation of Pakistan players in the upcoming Indian Hockey League (IHL) over an alleged ceasefire violation at the border between the two neighboring countries.

Shiv Sena leader Pandurang Sakpal said his party had organized the protest outside the practice venue of the league s Mumbai franchise because Pakistan "remained aggressive" despite attempts to thaw relations between the two countries.

He said his party would continue such protests.

There are four Pakistan players contracted to Mumbai Magicians for the five-team Jan. 14-Feb. 10 tournament Mahmood Tousiq, Mahmood Rashid, Fareed Ahmed and Imran Butt.

Skirmishes have killed two soldiers on each side of the border over the past week, raising tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors.
