Massive power breakdown hits Balochistan

A massive power breakdown hits Balochistan. QESCO authorities are providing power to Quetta from alternative line.The provincial capital of Balochistan, Quetta, and most parts of the province have plunged into darkness after power supply from 220KV transmission line from Quetta-Mach was interrupted. The outage occurred at 7:30 pm after 32 KVA Quetta-Mach circuit tripped, plunging 16 disctricts of Balochistan and several parts of Quetta into darkness. At 12:00 am another 220KVA Quetta-Sibbi power line tripped as well. The districts including Kalat, Khuzdar, Kharan, Nushki, Qilla Abdullah, Loralai, Qilla Saifullha, Mustang, Jafarabad, Naseerabad have all been affected. Due to the rugged landscape many parts of Balochistan are still without electricity.
