Summary Monsoon spell continues to hit parts of country, with warning of flashfloods and unban flooding in low-lying areas
KARACHI (Web Desk) - Light to moderate rain with strong winds was reported in several areas here on Saturday, marking the second consecutive day of shower during the current monsoon spell.
A brief but relatively heavy spell of rain was reported in 4K Chowrangi in Surjani Town and Lyari, while light to moderate rainfall was recorded in Scheme 33, Gulshan-i-Maymar and adjoining areas. Hassan Square received light drizzle.
Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Airport, Sachal Goth, Mausamiyat and surrounding areas also received a brief spell of rain. Light rainfall was reported in Saddar and adjoining areas, while Sea View and Defence Housing Authority (DHA) experienced only light drizzle.
Earlier, Weather turned pleasant after rain in Sukkur and its surrounding areas, with Met office predicted more rain in coming days.

According to Pakistan's Meteorological Department (PMD), in Sindh, rainfall is expected between July 24 and July 28 in Karachi and several other districts, including Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Mirpur Khas, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, Khairpur, and surrounding areas.
