LAHORE (Dunya News) - A special ceremony was held at Wagah Border to mark the completion of one year of the victory of Marka-e-Haq, with a large number of citizens paying tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan.

National heroes, politicians, students, religious leaders and members of minority communities participated in the event alongside people from different walks of life.

Participants showed keen interest in the parade held at Wagah Border and expressed strong support and admiration for Pakistan’s armed forces.

Slogans of “Pakistan Army Zindabad” echoed during the ceremony, while attendees laid flowers at the martyrs’ memorial and offered prayers for the departed souls.

Citizens attending the event said the enemy had been taught a lesson during Marka-e-Haq and any future aggression would also receive a strong response.

They added that the nation had proven during Marka-e-Haq that it stood like a solid wall alongside its armed forces.

Participants also said the armed forces’ strong response during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos forced the enemy into retreat.

The enthusiasm shown by citizens on the first anniversary of the victory once again highlighted the nation’s resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with its military.
