ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Mohammad Reza Farzin (referred delegation meeting during Islamabad peace discussions) in Islamabad.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest. Both sides emphasized the importance of sustaining continuous dialogue between Pakistan and Iran as a key requirement of the current regional environment.
During the talks, Ishaq Dar and the Iranian central bank governor reaffirmed that lasting peace and stability in the region form the foundation for stronger economic cooperation and shared development.
The two leaders also noted that a peaceful environment is essential for achieving regional development goals. They appreciated the ongoing diplomatic efforts in Islamabad, including the significance of the “Islamabad Talks,” which they said reflect Pakistan’s growing diplomatic influence in the region.
