Summary Embezzlement of OGRAs ex-chairman Touqir Sadiq caused extra load of Rs 36.50 billion on consumers.
According to documents received by Dunya News, the accused allegedly benefitted the stock brokers by billion of rupees.The stock exchange brokers were involved in shares of Sui Northern and ratio of gas theft was enhanced to promote them while the income received by sale of meter plants, surcharge, royalty and gas was declared stagnant capital.At a stage, Touqir Sadiq withdrew the shares of Sui Northern when their value rose from Rs 16 to 36, causing benefit worth billion of rupees to brokers while company faced loss of Rs 10 billion.It has been said in the report that the shortfall worth Rs 36 billion was result of steps taken by OGRA’s ex chairman.
