ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The National Assembly session will be held today (Thursday) at the Parliament House. Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq will preside over the session.

The National Assembly Secretariat has issued agenda for today’s session.

According to details, Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb will lay before the National Assembly the report of 1st biannual monitoring on the implementation of 7th NFC Award (July-December, 2021).

Finance Minister will present the mid-year budget review report for the financial year 2023-24. He will also lay before the National Assembly the fiscal policy statement January, 2024, the debt policy statement January, 2024, and the performance monitoring report for the financial year 2022-23.

Muhammad Aurangzeb will lay before the National Assembly the appropriation accounts of the Government of Pakistan for the financial year 2020-21 and audit reports of the Auditor-General of Pakistan relating to the accounts of the federation for the audit year, 2021-22 (Phase-II.

Finance Minister will also lay before the National Assembly leftover/remaining appropriation accounts of the Government of Pakistan for the financial year 2021-22 and audit reports of the Auditor-General of Pakistan relating to the accounts of the federation for the audit year, 2022-23.

A calling attention notice to invite attention of the Minister for Energy (Petroleum Division) to a matter of urgent public importance regarding closure of gas in the old areas and villages of Karachi, especially Kemari, Lyari and Malir is also part of agenda of today’s NA session.

The House will also express its deep gratitude to the President of Pakistan for his address to joint session of the parliament on 18th April, 2024.

A calling attention notice to invite attention of the Minister for Finance and Revenue to a matter of urgent public importance regarding proposal to withdraw tax and duty exemptions for erstwhile FATA and PATA regions is also part of agenda.
