Federal Secretary Abdullah Sumbal passes away due to cardiac arrest

Sumbal was one of the most competent and humble officers of civil service
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Secretary Abdullah Sumbal passed away due to cardiac arrest on Wednesday.
Sumbal was seriously ill for the last four days and was under treatment at the CMH.
He has also served as Punjab chief secretary and was one of the most competent and humble officers of the Pakistan Civil Service.
Interim Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sorrow and regret over the death of Sumbal.
Mohsin Naqvi prayed that Allah may rest the soul in peace and grant patience to the bereaved family.
Former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed surprise at the sudden demise of Sumbal. In his message on the social media site X, he said, "can't believe this saddest of the news about the passing of Abdullah Khan Sumbal".

Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Ahmad Bugti also expressed his condolences to the family of Sumbal.
The home minister said the deceased was an outstanding officer, his sudden death was a great loss to the family and the civil service.
