Calls on politicians from Sindh

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Molana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday said the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and other institutions had been mortgaged to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Rehman called on Functional League Sindh president Sadrud din Rashidi. The meeting, also attended by GDA leaders Zulfiqar Mirza and Fehmida Mirza, underscored the exchange of thoughts on country’s overall political situation.

Talking to journalists, Rashidi said Fazl told them about sharing some positive things in the meeting. “If caretaker setup comes and holds elections, and I see elections are nearing,” he added.

Fazl said it was the responsibility of the caretaker setup to think deliberating elections, adding that he never hid anything as PDM chairman. “We have got closer to China in the form of CPEC and megaprojects have been restarted in the country,” he added.

He went on to say that Pakistan was being maligned on the international level, adding that the IMF had acted as a front man. “Forex reserves are improving,” he added.
