PIA plane uses Indian airspace due to bad weather in Lahore

LAHORE (Dunya News) - A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Dammam to Lahore on Thursday used Indian airspace after facing an emergency situation owing to stormy weather in Lahore.
According to sources, the captain of the PIA flight PK-248 diverted the plane into Indian airspace with prior clearance from Indian civil aviation authority as the flight could not land at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore due to torrential rain.
The pilot of the aircraft used Indian airspace while turning the flight towards Multan. The plane safely landed at Multan airport after flying over Indian city of Ferozepur.
