Bilawal inaugurates Peoples Bus Service for Karachi

Around 130 air-conditioned buses will be launched on seven routes.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has inaugurated the Peoples Intra District Bus Service project.

According to details, Bilawal Bhutto was accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, and other members of the provincial cabinet.

Around 130 air-conditioned buses will be launched on seven routes in Karachi as part of the intra-district bus project.

However, in the first phase, the 30-bus fleet will run on a 29 KMs long route from the Model Colony to Tower.

In a statement, Provincial Minister for Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the fare of the People’s Bus Service will be from 25 to 50 rupees. He said that Pakistan Peoples Party is always trying to develop the city.
