Police to conduct autopsy of Aamir Liaquat's body despite family's dis allowance

Earlier, family refused to have an autopsy conducted.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Renowned TV host and MNA Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away on Thursday. After his death, the body was shifted to the mortuary for completion of medico-legal formalities, the family refused to have an autopsy conducted but police is insistent to carry out the process.

SSP East Karachi Abdul Rahim Sherazi said that Hussain s body will not be given to the family without doing the postmortum, while he added if the family does not want it to be done then they should bring order from the court.

Earlier on Thursday, Hussain’s house was sealed as the police launched investigations into his sudden death.

Police also wrote a letter to welfare organization Chhipa that not to hand over his dead body to anyone. The police also requested that his body will be collected by the officials of Brigade Police Station.

As per his domestic staff, Aamir Liaquat was not feeling well since morning and later became unconscious. He was taken to a private hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, he added. However, spokesperson of Chippa, a welfare organization, stated that the lawmaker was found dead at his house.
