PPP leader has called upon Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan to take notice

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party vice president, Senator Sherry Rehman has leveled allegation of rigging in KPK local bodies elections by provincial government.

In a recent statement on the polling PPP leader has asserted that results of 120 polling stations have been submitted with inordinate delay.

Moreover, the PPP leader has called upon Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan to take cognizance of the purported rigging and probe the presiding officers concerned about late submissions.

Sherry Rehman has also claimed that 30 presiding officers have gone out of scene soon after the polling process. She has also asked the electoral body to know the whereabouts of the ‘missing’ officials.

Senator Sherry Rehman likened the alleged electoral ‘rigging by provincial government’ in KPK local bodies election with the rigging in Daska by-election. ‘The KPK Govt has replicated modus operandi of Daska election rigging here in local bodies polls’, claimed PPP leader.
