Fawad demands PML-N to make public details of Nawaz's meeting with Afghan NSA
Fawad Ch said the PML-N supremo met a man whose relations with India are not hidden.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaurhry on Saturday expressed deep reservations and doubts over former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with Afghan National Security Adviser and said that all this is very regrettable.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday, he said that they were surprised over Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with Afghan NSA in London, adding that the PML-N supremo met a man whose relations with India are not hidden. “The Afghan NSA also held meeting with Indian intelligence officials after meeting Nawaz Sharif,” he said.
The minister raised a question whether the former prime minister had informed the government or leaders of his party’s central executive committee and stressed to make the audio and transcripts of the meeting public.
Fawad Chaudhry went on to say that the families of Afghan officials Hamdullah Mohib and Amrullah Saleh were living abroad and the hateful and filthy language used by Hamdullah Mohib against Pakistan cannot be repeated.
He said we stand with our Afghan brethren and for this purpose we rendered many sacrifices for Afghan refugees, adding that we provided opportunity to Afghan refugees to spend dignified life and currently around 6000 Afghan students are enrolled in Pakistan.
He said we tried our best to improve our relation with India for the economic development of the region but India s RSS extremist ideology became major hurdle in the way to peace and became a major threat to our security doctrine.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor to the Prime Minister Shahzad Akbar said that Pakistan has decided to seek United Nations probe into India s use of Pegasus spyware against country s top officials.
He called on the United Nations on to investigate whether India used Israeli-made Pegasus spyware to spy on public figures including Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The Adviser said according to the investigation of France based international media and Amnesty International, Prime Minister Imran Khan is on a list of those people for whom this spyware was used by India.
Terming it an attack on the national security and sovereignty of Pakistan, Shahzad Akbar said this Indian act is clear breach of global norms of responsible state behaviour.
He said in view of the gravity of international reports on the matter, we call on the relevant UN bodies to thoroughly investigate the matter, bring the facts to light, and hold the Indian perpetrators to account.
The adviser said we will also investigate the matter formally through our inter agencies, utilizing the services of our Foreign Office and FIA.
Earlier in tweet, the minister said that every enemy of Pakistan including Indian Prime Minister Modi, Afghan NSA Hamdullah Mohib and Afghan vice president Amrullah Saleh are close friends of Nawaz Sharif.
He said that sending Nawaz Sharif abroad was dangerous because people like him become facilitators of international conspiracies.
Chaudhry added that meeting of PML-N supremo with Afghan National Security Advisor a biggest ally of Indian intelligence agency RAW in Afghanistan was major manifestation of that kind of activity.
On the other hand, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill questioned the motive behind a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Afghanistan’s NSA.
Taking to Twitter, Shehbaz Gill said that Nawaz Sharif had met with the Afghan official, who had been speaking against Pakistan.
