Rain in Lahore, other parts of county turns weather pleasant
Met Office has predicted dry weather in most plain areas of the country during the next 24 hours.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Rain accompanied by strong wind lashed Lahore and other cities across the country in the wee hours of Friday, Dunya News reported. The rain just before Sehri time in Lahore turned the weather pleasant.
Rain cased disruption of electricity in Lahore as over 160 feeders of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) tripped, plunging various parts of the city into darkness.
Rain was also reported in different other cities of country including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Narowal, Shorkot, Chiniot, Minchanabad, Pakpattan, Karak and several other cities.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist till Friday.
Met Office has predicted dry weather in most plain areas of the country during the next 24 hours. However, rain wind-thunderstorm is expected in northeast Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during morning hours.
