Coronavirus claims life of another doctor in KP
The number of casualties of the doctors from COVID-19 has surged to 62 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Third wave of coronavirus has claimed life of another doctor in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, raising the number of casualties of the doctors from COVID-19 to 62 in the province, Dunya News reported.
According to Provincial Doctors Association, Doctor John was admitted in the ICU ward of a hospital in provincial capital Peshawar and was on ventilator from past two weeks.
The association further revealed that so far the deadly virus has claimed lives of at least 62 doctors in the province.
On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 144 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 784,108. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 16,842.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 5,870 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours while positivity rate was recorded at 10.90 percent.
