Fourth batch of Covid-19 vaccine from China reaches Islamabad
The fourth batch comprising 60,000 doses of anti Covid CanSino vaccine reached Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The fourth batch of coronavirus vaccine has reached Islamabad from China on Tuesday as Pakistan is battling to contain a recent surge in COVID-19 cases, Dunya News reported.
According to sources, the fourth batch comprising 60,000 doses of anti Covid CanSino vaccine reached New Islamabad International Airport on a commercial flight from China.
Earlier, in a statement, Federal Minister Asad Umar had said that Pakistan will be getting bulk vaccine by mid April from CanSino from which 3 million vaccine doses can be made. The bulk vaccine received will be formulated, sterilized and packed in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan had participated in the third phase of the CanSino vaccine trial.
