Tahir Javed meets Ali Zaidi, discusses Pak-US relations
Tahir Javed said Pakistan-US relations will improve under the leadership of President Joe Biden.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – US Democrat leader Tahir Javed Saturday met Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi in Lahore and exchanged views over Pakistan-Unite States relations.
Tahir Javed said ties of both countries will further improve under the leadership of President Joe Biden and mindset in America changed after Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech at the Unite Nations concerning the Kashmir issue.
He said some India-born members in the American Congress are also against PM Narendra Modi’s policies and support Imran Khan. Pakistan’s role always remained important in the Afghan peace process and both countries share deep-rooted relations, he added.
Tahir Javed said Joe Biden respects Pakistan’s role in establishing peace and Washington will soon initiate communication with Islamabad. The US will further improve its relations with its allies, he said.
Ali Haider Zaidi said racial discrimination increased during Donald Trump’s tenure. Pakistan and America can increase cooperation in various sectors, he added.
