Pakistan reports 3,876 COVID-19 new cases, highest since July 2020
Pakistan has so far conducted 9,732,033 coronavirus tests.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 42 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 623,135. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 13,799 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,876 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 262,796 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 195,087 in Punjab 78,653 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 50,843 in Islamabad, 19,306 in Balochistan, 11,483 in Azad Kashmir and 4,967 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 5,944 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,478 in Sindh, 2,202 in KP, 539 in Islamabad, 330 in Azad Kashmir, 203 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 9,732,033 coronavirus tests and 40,946 in the last 24 hours. 579,760 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,122 patients are in critical condition.
