NA-249 by-polls: Scrutiny process of nomination papers completed
The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced to hold the by-election in NA-249 on April 29.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The scrutiny process of nomination papers filed by the candidates to participate in the by-election in national Assembly constituency NA-249 has been completed, Dunya News reported.
According to sources, the Regional Election Commissioner has requested to deploy Pakistan Army personnel at the polling stations for the smooth holding of the by-election.
The NA-249 seat was vacated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda who resigned from the National Assembly after bagging a Senate seat.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced to hold the by-election in NA-249 on April 29.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has Friday issued ticket to local official Amjad Afridi for the NA-249 (Karachi West-II) by-election against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Miftah Ismail.
Pakistan People s Party s (PPP s) Nisar Khuhro and Qadir Khan Mandokhel, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan s (MQM-P s) Yousuf Alam and Pak Sarzameen Party s Syed Mustafa Kamal are the other prominent candidates for the by-election.
