Senate Elections: PPP hosts dinner for PDM heads, members
PPP hosted a dinner for the heads of PDM and other members on the eve of Senate elections.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) hosted a dinner for the heads of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and other members on the eve of Senate elections, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
According to sources, the dinner was hosted for the heads and members of 11-party opposition alliance to muster support for former prime minister and joint candidate of PDM Yousuf Raza Gilani who is contesting Senate election from Islamabad against PTI candidate Hafeez Shaikh.
The dinner was attended by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz, Akhtar Mengal, Qazi Asmat Ullah, Maulana Asad Mahmood, Maulana Abdul Wasey, Maulana Kamal-ud-Din, Agha Mahmood Shah, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Maulana Salahud Din, Zahid Akram Durani, Maulana Anwar, Maulana jamal Din, Malik Aafreen Khan, James Iqbal, Shahida Akhtar Ali, Alia Kamran besides parliamentarians of PPP and PML-N.
