Rehman demanded to question Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) authorities, how they issued licenses
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Senator Sherry Rehman on Wednesday said that a campaign is being run against party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on social media.
Speaking on the floor of the Upper House of the Parliament, he said that the employees of Steel Mills and PTDC have been fired, while PIA has been grounded with a speech. We know we have not done anything good during our tenure but we kept the PIA aircrafts flying.
Rehman demanded to question Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) authorities, how they issued licenses, adding that why the real issue is not being discussed.
The senator asked if the ego of Prime Minister Imran Khan is more than the Kashmir issue, adding that this is the first time in the history of Pakistan that the prime minister walked out of the session of the parliament.
On the other hand, the Senate passed a motion to suspend question hour for the sittings on 15,16 July 2020.
The motion under Rule 263 was moved by the Leader of the House Dr. Shehzad Waseem which was passed by the House.
As per motion under Rule 263 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of business in the Senate 2012, the requirement of Rule 41 of the said Rules regarding question hour was dispensed with till July 16, 2020.
Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwala said that there is notice requirement of eight-days for the questions hour session and the period is incomplete so far.
Following this reason, he said that question hour has been suspended.
