PM takes notice of not following quarantine policy for overseas Pakistanis
He directs that policy of keeping overseas Pakistanis in quarantine for 48 hours be implemented
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday while taking strict notice of not implementing quarantine policy for the overseas Pakistanis, directed to implement the guidelines.
He said this while presiding over a meeting to review the coronavirus situation in the country.
During the meeting, the prime minister was given briefing regarding the quarantine policy for overseas Pakistanis. The meeting was told that 48 hours had been fixed for quarantine of overseas Pakistanis in the National Coordination Committee (NCC) meeting but they were being kept for 7 days.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Imran Khan said that the overseas Pakistanis who returned to the country have already after facing many difficulties, adding that they should not be disturbed any more in the name of quarantine.
He strongly directed that the policy of keeping overseas Pakistanis in quarantine for 48 hours should be strictly implemented, adding that they should be kept in quarantine if they there test comes out negative, however, the guidelines provided by the government must be implemented if someone test positive for the virus.
