CCI meeting: Vawda, Sindh CM exchange heated words over water crisis

It has been decided to again convene a meeting on water distribution agreement between the provinces

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday presided over a meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) in Islamabad and reviewed fair distribution of water to all provinces.

The meeting was attended by the chief ministers of all four provinces and chief secretaries.

Sources said that words were exchanged between Federal Minister for Water Faisal Vawda and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, while Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umer had words with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.

Sources said that it has been decided to again convene a meeting on water distribution agreement between the provinces, while the meeting also reached an agreement to form a committee between the provinces on the issue of water cards.
