Punjab govt releases one-year performance report

The report claimed that spending on the security of government houses has been reduced by Rs550m.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led (PTI) Punjab government on Sunday released its one year performance report.

The report claimed that the provincial government has reduced salaries and other important incentives by 60 percent, while Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazadar spent 66pc less on security than the previous government.

It further claimed that the spending on the security of government houses has been reduced by Rs550 million, while Rs80 million has been saved in terms of gifts and hospitality and the spending on the repairing of vehicles has been reduced by 50pc.

The government is providing Rs3 billion monthly stipend to its citizens aged over 65 years under the Bahimmat Buzurg Programme, whereas, the establishment of 12 shelters houses was completed in all major cities of the province.

The report stated that action has been taken on 3000 incidents of water theft, while latest technology was introduced to transfer property.
