The restrictions imposed by the government are worse than the Marshal Law tenures.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former senate chairman and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Mian Raza Rabbani on Thursday rejected the idea of establishment of media courts and announced to oppose it in the parliament.
In a statement issued by the former senate chairman, any sort of restrictions on media would be considered as attack on democracy.

The PPP leader said that his part would oppose restrictions on media, adding the industry is under strict censorship.
The restrictions imposed by the government are worse than the Marshal Law tenures, he said.
Rabbani went on to say that the idea of establishment of media courts is to pressurize the media, adding that the issues of the journalists should be resolved on journalistic forums.
