Punjab govt decides to appoint Hamza Shehbaz as PAC chairman
Raja Basharat also denied reports of stopping notification for the PAC.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government on Monday has decided to appoint Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz as Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman.
According to Dunya News sources, Punjab Law Mnister Raja Basharat said that a meeting would be summoned after the arrival of Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar and Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in which the heads of PAC and other standing committee.
The minister went on to say that the PAC chairman would be elected by voting, adding that the provincial government will follow the formula and will not oppose Hamza Shehbaz according to the agreement.
