DG ISPR on Monday said Army and PAF teams have been sent to rescue stranded tourists in Nathia Gali.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – According to Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor, Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) teams have been sent to rescue tourists stranded due to heavy snow in Tauheed Abad area near Nathia Gali.
DG ISPR said that a rescue team each from Pakistan Army and PAF, carrying medicines and food items for stranded tourists, has been sent to support the civil administration in the area to carry out the rescue operation.
The DG ISPR on Monday tweeted: “On media reports of stranded tourists at Toheed Abad near Nathia Gali a rescue team each of Army and PAF sent in support of civil administration. Rescue teams carrying medicines and food items. Road blocked due to heavy snowfall and broken down vehicles. Approach being cleared.”
