SC didn't order to form JIT in Model Town carnage case: Rana Sanaullah
The court will give its final verdict in the light of evidences that were presented in trial court
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Punjab law minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday said that the Supreme Court (SC) did not order to form the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in Model Town carnage.
Speaking exclusively at the Dunya News program “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath”, the former law minister said that leadership of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) had already filed a lawsuit in trial court where evidences were presented during a time span of one and a half year and recorded their statements.
"The court will give its final verdict in the light of evidences that were presented in trial court," the PML-N leader said.
Rana Sanaullah further added two JITs and two first information reports (FIR) have already been made in the case and the reports were present in trial court.
He went on to say that Punjab government suggested that they wanted to form a JIT to which the SC remarked okay.
