Weather to remain cold and dry in most parts of Pakistan

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country with shallow foggy conditions likely to prevail over plain areas of Punjab. However, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country. Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours while rain with snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to Met Office, weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country during the past 24 hours. However, rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while drizzle occurred Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Multan divisions, Lasbella and Gilgit-Baltistan. Skardu remained the coldest city in the country with -02°C temperature.
