National Education Policy Framework being devised: PM Imran
The policy is being formulated to with an objective to ensure that children have fair opportunity
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that the National Education Policy Framework is being devised to bring uniformity in existing fragmented apartheid education system.
Presiding over a briefing on the Policy Framework in Islamabad on Wednesday, he emphasized that skill development of the youth should be especially focused so that the immense potential of the youth could be effectively utilized.
Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood gave a detailed presentation on the Policy identifying various challenges including out of school children, quality of education and skill development issues.
He said that National Education Policy Framework is being formulated to with an objective to ensure that all children have a fair and equal opportunity to receive a high quality of education in order to achieve their full potential.
He suggested establishment of a National Curriculum Council for the purpose of engaging and creating broad consensus among stakeholders for common standards of education across Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the meeting of prime minister s Inspection Commission was also held in Islamabad with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair.
Chairman PMIC Ahmed Yar Hiraj briefed the Prime Minister about the matters relating to Inspection Commission.
