PML-N not a democratic political party: Fayazul Hassan
Minister says Hamza Shehbaz should appear before Special Committee of the Punjab Assembly
LAHORE (APP) – Punjab Information and Culture Minister Fayaz ul Hassan Chohan Wednesday said that PML-N was not a democratic political party but a private limited company run by Hamza Shehbaz and his father Shehbaz Sharif to protect their family interests.
Talking to media in the Punjab Assembly premises here, he said the Sharifs had held the PML-N legislators hostage.
To a query, the provincial minister said Hamza Shehbaz Sharif should appear before the Special Committee of the Punjab Assembly constituted to probe the hooliganism by the opposition on October 16, adding that only then he would witness the glaring truth how PML-N legislators led by Hamza Shehbaz violated sanctity and decorum of the august House and damaged the state property.
Responding to another query, he said Hamza Shehbaz had compelled the MPAs to stage a sit in against the government in such an intense temperature, adding that he was sorry for elitist Hamza Shehbaz who had to accompany his protesting MPAs after his yesterday’s speech in the house.
“Hamza Shehbaz is still very clever and joined his suffering MPAs in the evening when the temperatures had fallen a great deal”, he responded, challenging the Opposition leader to come at 11 in morning instead of 3pm.
Criticising the opposition legislators, Fayaz ul Hassan Chohan said the PML-N did not attend the session since October 19 but they did mark their attendance just to claim the allowances. He said PML-N had let the masses down by not taking part in the budget debate for the public welfare but they were fully aware of watching their personal interests.
“Had the voters elected the PML-N parliamentarians for safeguarding their own interests”, he responded.
