LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government on Sunday approved a grand operation against land grabbers and encroachments across the province.

A meeting in this regard took place in Lahore under the chair of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, who said the operation would be taken to its logical conclusion as per the Supreme Court’s orders.

Buzdar urged masses to cooperate with the provincial government and identify land grabbers and encroachers. He also directed departments concerned to maintain close coordination.

Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan suggested that the operation should be initiated against powerful mafias in its first phase and a well-devised strategy be formulated.

He said the success of this operation was in public’s interest and warned authorities against succumbing to political pressure.
