PM Imran directs to expedite completion of Fata reforms

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday chaired a session to review progress on the government’s 100 Days Agenda programme.

In what was his maiden visit to Peshawar after since he assumed office last month, Imran Khan was briefed on the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Establishment Affairs Arbab Shahzad, Special Assistant Naeemul Haq and Iftikhar Durrani accompanied Imran Khan on his visit to Peshawar.

The prime minister directed authorities concerned to expedite work on Fata reforms and expressed the hope that the people of tribal areas will benefit from these reforms.

Imran Khan was also briefed about the steps being taken for holding of local government elections in those tribal areas which have recently been merged into the province.

The meeting was attended beside others by Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mehmood Khan.
