Punjab healthcare department approves insurance scheme

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab Specialised Healthcare Department has given approval in principle for launch of a health insurance scheme in 19 districts of the province.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid in Lahore on Sunday.
Under the scheme, she said, financial protection will be provided to low-income people.
She directed for completing the file work at the earliest to get formal approval from the provincial cabinet.
