Afghans portray themselves as relatives of Pakistanis to acquire CNIC
NADRA chairman visited Lahore headquarters.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) chairman Usman Yousaf on Sunday once again categorically dispelled news about alleged crash of Result Transmission Sytem (RTS) in General Elections 20108.
As per details acquired, NADRA chairman visited Lahore headquarters.
Pashtuns’ representatives also rushed to the headquarters and lodged strong protest with NADRA chairman over delay in the process to acquire Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and alleged blocking of the same without prior warning.
NADRA chairman reassured Pashtuns’ representatives of solving their issues on priority basis.
“We [NADRA officials] received secret tip off about Afghans clandestinely showing Pakistani citizens as their brothers and sisters. A thorough probe into this matter has been initiated”, NADRA chairman told reporters.
On use of RTS in by-polls, Yousaf replied he was unaware whether RTS would be used in the polls or not. He said, “Voting system for overseas Pakistanis has been made by NADRA”.
