PTI refers matter of MPA Imran Ali Shah to disciplinary committee
Imran Ali Shah may face temporary expulsion from PTI.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA, who manhandled a citizen in the metropolitan, may have his membership suspended after he failed to respond to the show-cause notice issued by the PTI.
Syed Imran Ali Shah, who was elected MPA from PS-129, was seen thrashing a man publically in a video on one of the busiest roads in Karachi.

What followed next saw Syed Imran Ali Shah first release a video in which he explained his side of the story but when that wasn’t convincing enough he had to apologise to all the parties involved in the incident. Later, the MPA visited the victim’s house late night and asked for his forgiveness in public.
I never wanted to take law in my hand however it was in a spur of a moment that i momentarily lost my cool and reacted in a way that brought embarrassment to my position, my party and my supporters. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/nbnsmqGC11

PTI on Wednesday referred the matter to the disciplinary committee which will investigate the incident. Party sources said Shah may face a hefty fine or get his membership temporarily suspended.
The party in a tweet on Tuesday said the incident was “completely unacceptable” and issued a show-cause notice to the MPA.
“Party has taken note of altercation that has taken place in a public street where you are seen as beating up a citizen.
“Your actions are not acceptable as seen in the video, therefore, you are required to present your version in the next 24 hours.
“Failing to do so, will refer your case to the disciplinary committee for appropriate action,” read the notice.
