Premier to-be Imran Khan becomes 7th most followed leader on Twitter
The PTI leader and would-be Prime Minister of Pakistan is immensely popular especially amongst youth
(WebDesk) – The man who most commonly came to be known as the Prime Minister of Twitter and Facebook, PTI leader “King Khan” most recently became the 7th most followed leader on Twitter when the number of followers on his twitter account surpassed the 8 million mark.
The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf leader and would-be Prime Minister of Pakistan is immensely popular especially amongst the youth courtesy his prevailing online presence. It is safe to say Khan has always known the importance of reaching out to the youth and thus his party was the first one to fully take advantage of Social Media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. Ever since introducing this strategy of taking political matters on other platforms, Khan has become one of the most famous personalities on Social Media.

Now the premier elect has scored a position on the ‘Top 10 Most Followed World Leaders on Twitter’ landing at number seven with 8.17 million followers, right before the highly revered Canadian head of state Justin Trudeau who has 4.26 million users following his official handle.

Imran Khan is likely to go further up the ladder once he takes oath as Pakistan’s 20th Prime Minister. For the time being however, he is just 2 million followers behind the Indonesian premier, Joko Widodo, who is positioned at 6th.
