PPP's Abdul Qadir Patel retains NA-248 seat after vote recount

Abdul Qadir Patel was declared winners from NA-248 after getting 35,075 votes in recounting.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Abdul Qadir Patel retained National Assembly constituency NA-248-Karachi West-4 seat after recounting on Sunday, Dunya News reported.

The recounting of votes was held at the Govt College of Technology, SITE area on the application of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Sardar Aziz.

The result was announced after the recounting of votes which lasted for two day. PPP’s Abdul Qadir Patel was declared winner after getting 35,075 votes whils PTI’s Sardar Aziz remained runners-up by securing 34,322 votes. Sardar Aziz has accepted the result after recounting.

Tight security arrangements were made for the recounting process and containers were placed to block the road outside the Govt College of Technology.
