WAPDA chairman for aggressive foreign policy on Indus Water Treaty

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In the wake of Indian water terrorism, Water and Power Distribution Authority (WAPDA) chairman Lt Gen (retd) Muzammil Hussain has on Wednesday called for ‘aggressive foreign policy’ on Indus Water Treaty.
Hussain was giving briefing to Senate Standing Committee on Water and Power.
Replying to a question, WAPDA chairman stated that Kala Bagh Dam can be erected if all political outfits can reach on understanding. WAPDA chairman also proposed to determine price of water.
Hussain apprised attendants that Pakistan has only 30-day capacity to store water stands only at 30 days whereas India’s tendency to store water stands at 170 days. He warned committee that under water reservoirs are plummeting fast.
