ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 5.6 magnitude on the Richter Scale hit Swat and its adjoining areas on Saturday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), tremors measuring 5.6 on the Richter Scale were felt in Swat, Malakand, Battagram, Dir Bala and surrounding areas.
Fearing any untoward situation, people of the areas vacated their homes in panic.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush region with a depth of 200 kilometers.
However‚ there were no reports of any casualty or loss of property.
