COAS meets Naqeebullah's father, offers fateha

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday met the father of Naqeebullah Mehsud, who was killed in a fake police encounter in Karachi, condoled with him and offered fateha.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS said that army would support all efforts to help him get the justice.

Commander Peshawar Corps and Frontier Constabulary (FC), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South Inspector General (IG) were also present during the visit.

Earlier, Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa inaugurated two mega development projects in South Waziristan Agency.

Addressing the ceremony, he said that the tribal elders have lived through very difficult times, paid a heavy price and faced terrorism.
The COAS said that the mainstreaming of FATA was the desire of the tribal elders.
