Former CJCSC General (r) Wynne laid to rest in Lahore

Wynne lost his life in a road accident last week on M2 motorway.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Former Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General (r) Khalid Shamim Wynne was laid to rest on Monday after he lost his life last week in a road accident.

Funeral prayer of the late commander was offered in Lahore Garrison today and was attended by Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, former president Asif Ali Zardari, General Zubair Mehmood Hayat and former army chief Raheel Sharif among others.




The late general was laid to rest with army protocol.

The former CJCSC breathed his last last week while traveling on motorway. The tyres of his car burst at high speed which became the cause of his death.

The car went out of control and met a tragic accident on the highway. The death of Gen (retd) Wynne was confirmed by the media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army.
