RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited martyred Major Ishaq’s bereaved family on Saturday and expressed condolences.
28-year-old Major Ishaq had embraced martyrdom on November 22 in a security operation in Dera Ismail Khan (DIK). He was laid to rest with army protocol in Cavalry Ground Army graveyard in the following days.
On the occasion, COAS Bajwa said: "The supreme sacrifices rendered by our officers and jawans in the line of duty have strengthened our national will and determination that we cannot be deterred by cowardly acts of terrorists who shall be defeated no matter what the cost.”
