ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale on Monday expressed grief over martyrdom of four Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel in a roadside blast in Kurram Agency near the Pak-Afghan border.
While commending Pakistan Army for rescuing U.S.-Canadian couple along with three children, he said that the martyred soldiers were in the search for the kidnappers. He thanked the security forces for safely liberating the family.
David Hale termed US’s accusations over Pakistan for not conducting operation against Haqqani network as ‘baseless’.
The freed Canadian citizen Joshua Boyle also praised the Pakistani army for the rescue operation and standing between his family and the Taliban militants.

American Caitlan Coleman and her Canadian husband, Joshua Boyle, were kidnapped while backpacking in Afghanistan in 2012 by the Taliban-allied Haqqani network. Pakistani troops rescued the family in the northwest of the country, near the Afghan border, last week. The United States has long accused Pakistan of failing to fight the Taliban-allied Haqqani network.
Five days after the release, the militants targeted the FC security teams searching for militants linked to the kidnapping of a US-Canadian family.
