Summary Three accused acquitted in BB murder case have challenged their house arrest in LHC Rawalpindi bench
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench will start the hearing today (Thursday) of the petition filed by the three accused against their house arrest after being acquitted in the Benazir murder case by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Rawalpindi on August 31.
The accused Sher Zaman, Hasnain Gul and Rafaqat Hussain in their plea have stated that they have been kept under house arrest despite being acquitted by the ATC in Benazir murder case. They said that their house arrest is un-lawful. They have challenged their detention in the LHC (Rawalpindi bench).
On the other hand, the court will hear the bail applications of two police officials, who were sentenced in Benazir murder case, on October 4. The court has also accepted Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) application to become a party in the case.
