'Proud of Pak-Army role in nation building,' expresses COAS

COAS was received by Lt Gen Shahid Baig Mirza Commander Karachi Corps upon his arrival at Hyderabad

HYDEABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has expressed that Pakistan Army is proud of having undertaken nation building projects across the country in pursuit of continuous service to the masses of the country.

He professed this during his visit to Hyderabad Garrison today.

According to ISPR, COAS was received by Lt Gen Shahid Baig Mirza Commander Karachi Corps upon his arrival at Hyderabad.

At the occasion, the Army Chief was briefed on operational and administrative matters regarding Hyderabad Garrison and Thar.

General Bajwa was briefed at the occasion that the Army has distributed as many as 4,000 tons of ration and benefitted more than 1,90,000 families through continuous initiative since 2014.

The Army Chief was also informed that Medical camps in Thar have benefitted 1,61,000 patients in under privileged areas besides the water supply has also made available to 0.6 Million population and 0.7 Million live stock.

COAS appreciated the efforts of the formation at the occasion.
