Karachi Commissioner sets milk price at Rs85 per liter

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Karachiites witnessed a minimum of Rs5/liter increase in price of milk a day after the federal government had issued notification of hike in petroleum products.
Karachi commissioner has issued notification instructing wholesalers and retailers to sell milk at Rs85/liter.
As per details available, Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association president stated that per liter price of milk has gone up by Rs3.85 in local market owing to which wholesalers and retailers have increased the price further by Rs1.50 per liter.
Reports regarding sale of milk as much as Rs90/liter are surfacing after notification.
