Taimur Junaid recently posted a photo of his father on Facebook with a heart-melting message

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Taimur Junaid, son of Junaid Jamshed, shared a photo of his father on Facebook during Sunday.

The emotional post consisted of a photograph of Junaid Jamshed along with prayers for him. Taimur Junaid shared memories from the past that he had with his beloved father.

Taimur remembered Junaid Jamshed as a father who was always there for his children despite the busy schedule. Even at times when he was not home, his family members including him knew that he wasn’t going anywhere. "We knew he wasn t going anywhere. Whether we wanted to meet him or tell anything, he ll be there, just like a dad would be for his kids", he recalled.

On a lighter note, Taimur told how his father used to cheer up the family with a little humor. Once Junaid made fun of how his family made him bring clothes from outside the house before it rained so that they don’t get wet, during the London stay.

Taimur mentioned the Namaz-e-Janaza of his father which had a large gathering. He realized during the funeral that his father was something more than just being his dad. Junaid Jamshed had huge respect in every walk of life. He reminded everyone that he was constantly praying for them.

Interestingly though, Junaid Jamshed knew that his time was up, according to his son. While replying to one of his companion, he commented that he had a lot to do with little time remaining. Taimur suggested that his father prayed for Shahadat while working in His way.

The post concluded with an incident that was told by Junaid Jamshed’s companion to his son. It happened during one of the bayans by Junaid in Chitral when he stopped and asked everyone to speak Ameen. Junaid further went on to say a prayer for himself, “May Allah grant me martyrdom.”

Junaid Jamshed had died in the plane crash of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-661 which resulted in death of all 48 passengers onboard. Junaid s son Taimur prayed for his father s forgiveness and honor in the Facebook post.
