Supreme Court of Pakistan ahs constituted an experts commission on investigating the breaching of dyke during the recent massive floods in the country, Dunya News reported on Thursday. Supreme Court has appointed Shams-ul-Mulk from KhyberPakhtunkhwa as the Chairman of the commission while other members would include Khawaja Zaheer-iul-Din from Punjab, K.K. Lodhi from Sindh and Fateh Khan from Baluchistan. Advocate General Sindh raised objections on appointment of Shams-ul-Mulk as the Chairman of the commission but the apex court rejected his objections. On the other hand Government of Sindh has suspended 13 engineers of the irrigation department on recommendations of the judicial tribunal that investigated the breaching of Tori and MS dykes. According to the notification, Chief Engineer Gudu Barrage, Chief Engineer Kotri Barrage, 4 executive engineers and assistant engineers are amongst those suspended.
